I wanted a softshell crab po' boy, but there weren't any at that point. I ordered a seafood platter instead. Just before my meal arrived, some soft shells were delivered, so I added one. Everything was delicious. Quite a few people were eating boiled shrimp and crawfish, and I had planned to return the next evening to try some. I got there the next evening too late, the market was closed.

While visiting Mandeville, LA for a family reunion, we kept hearing the same recommendation—if you want the best crawfish, go to Mandeville Seafood Market & Eatery. As a first-time visitor, I decided to sample a few dishes to see what the hype was about. I started with the seafood gumbo, followed by two pounds of crawfish and a softshell crab. The gumbo was excellent—rich, full of flavor, and loaded with fresh seafood. The softshell crab was good, though the batter could’ve used a bit more seasoning to bring it to life. But the crawfish stole the show. Perfectly seasoned and just the right size for easy peeling and eating, they were everything I hoped for and more. In fact, I enjoyed them so much that I ordered another pound for dessert. If you're anywhere near Mandeville and in the mood for fresh, flavorful seafood in a laid-back setting, this spot is absolutely worth a stop.

1st timer here with my sister from Idaho. Raised in Maryland and miss blue point crabs, which were absolutely full and nice size # 1's. Ladies were super helpful with helping us navigate the extensive menu and options. Boiled shrimp were huge, and crawfish were a nice size. I personally would have liked more seasoning, but overall, I would absolutely recommend it.

We are visiting from out of state. Stopped here because the menu looked good. Upon arrival we were grateful we chose this place. There are sweets like baked items and goodies in the refrigerator. The menu is well rounded with a nice variety of different seafood dishes. Very nice atmosphere. The service was friendly. The food was very tasty and well prepared. I definitely recommend this place.

Every single time, the food is excellent ! Seafood gumbo with rice on the side, try your gumbo with potato salad instead of rice. The potato salad is yummy ! Shrimp hot and steamed, easy to peel every time ! Today we have soft shell crab and they were scrumptious ! Tartar sauce perfect ! We go at least once a week. AJ is one of the employees and he’s always so upbeat and kind. If he isn’t a manager he should be !

Talking about a great Louisiana seafood restaurant. This place is a back off the road, treasure. The seafood was so good. I can't believe the difference between here and South Carolina. Not even close. The service was mimemal but was not needed. I had crawfish 3 pounds. They were huge. Folks, you have to make a trip by this place. I'm comming back.

We decided to give this local seafood restaurant a try and I’m so glad we did! When you go in there is a small store where you can buy various Cajun dishes and meats, they also have their own seasonings and a few small knickknacks to take back with you. My husband and I ordered two bowls of the gumbo (no oysters just shrimp and crab) and it was rather delicious. We then shared the shrimp plate with fries while the kiddos had shrimp and chicken tenders. Everything was very scrumptious. The restrooms were very clean and they had fun decor all over to look at while waiting for your food. You order before you sit to get your drinks and such. The tables have cute little names for them instead of numbers. Handicap accessible parking and a ramp to get inside. I highly recommend checking it out if you are just passing or even a local! Thanks for the awesome, friendly service! Can’t wait to come back for one of those giant po’boys!!
